Kimani Foundation is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to improving the quality of life and educational opportunities of children and young students across Africa.
The foundation works directly with partner schools, student clubs, and orphanages to provide practical, targeted support based on the specific needs of each community.
Our actions include school supplies, educational resources, infrastructure projects, school cafeteria support, hygiene and well-being initiatives, and educational workshops.

The Story Behind Kimani
Kimani Foundation was born from a simple belief: meaningful impact starts with concrete action, grounded in real community needs.
The name “Kimani,” of Kikuyu origin, represents resilience, strength, and growth. It reflects the ability to thrive despite challenges and to turn limitations into opportunities.
The foundation was created with the intention of moving beyond abstract approaches, focusing instead on tangible, measurable impact — supporting schools, providing essential resources, and improving children’s daily lives, step by step.
Kimani Foundation serves as a bridge between available resources and real needs on the ground, guided by a human-centered, responsible, and impact-driven approach.

About the Founder
Kélicia Massala, LL.M., is an intellectual property professional, editor, and a long-standing advocate for youth leadership and philanthropy.
She has been actively involved in impact-driven initiatives since the age of 15, driven by a strong commitment to empowering young people and improving access to education. She is the founder of Girl Up Québec, an initiative affiliated with the United Nations Foundation, which she led for six years, engaging hundreds of young women through educational programs, international events, and on-the-ground initiatives.
Through her work across Canada and Africa, Kélicia has developed a direct understanding of local realities and community-specific needs. This journey naturally led her to establish Kimani Foundation, with the vision of building concrete, sustainable, and locally rooted impact.
Today, she brings together her expertise, vision, and commitment to develop initiatives that create meaningful and lasting change for children.
