Nailumpe Comprehensive School

Located in a remote Maasai community approximately four hours from Nairobi, Nailumpe Comprehensive School serves children living far from major services and infrastructure.
During our visit, we met dedicated teachers and students whose determination to learn was remarkable despite the challenges they face every day.
One of the school’s most urgent needs is access to reliable water. At the time of our visit, the water tanks were empty, making it difficult to provide students with adequate drinking water and prepare daily meals at school.
For many children, the meal they receive at school is an essential source of nourishment. Teachers also shared that some students come from particularly vulnerable households, where access to food outside of school can be limited.
Kimani Foundation is committed to working alongside the school to help address these basic needs, because we believe that no child should have to worry about hunger or access to clean water while trying to learn.
